McCann Acoustics + Construction Honored for Quality Work and Professionalism

Close-Up TV News recognizes McCann Acoustics & Construction for its continued commitment to quality work and professionalism.

McCann Acoustic & Construction is a family-owned and operated general construction company specializing in school, office or warehouse building projects as well as the design and installation of custom acoustical ceilings. Since 1985, McCann Acoustics & Construction has set the standard for acoustical ceiling panels, offering comprehensive and innovative selections of acoustical materials. The company has earned its reputation for specialty ceiling fabrication through its extensive experience and the cost-effective solutions they provide for their clients.

"In this business you're only as good as your price," says Doug Malcolm, owner of McCann Acoustic & Construction, "but the general contractors we work with recognize and appreciate our professionalism and the quality of our work. Our ceilings are custom made and the true value comes from our installation."

McCann Acoustics & Construction works side-by-side with a project's architect, building committee and/or engineers to develop a ceiling system based on product attributes, system performance and other design criteria.

"Good ceiling design integrates design, account function and appearance while meeting budget requirements," says Malcolm. "Selecting a ceiling that's right for a particular application requires the expertise we bring to each project and that's what our clients get when they contract us for jobs big and small."

McCann Acoustics & Construction also works exclusively with union tradesmen. According to Malcolm, it's the only way to do business.

"The local union has a good relationship with us and they're willing to accommodate us when we're in need," says Malcolm. "Sometimes you need quality men at a moment's notice and all school and Port Authority work in the state of New Jersey is prevailing wage or union. There is a marked difference between union and non-union workers so we use exclusively union tradesman to provide the quality work we're known for."
