Leighton Receives Second Order for Express Rail Track Project in Hong Kong

HOCHTIEF subsidiary Leighton has received an infrastructure orders via its participating interest in Leighton Asia.
Acting in a joint venture the company will construct tunnels for an express rail track in Hong Kong. The project is worth almost EUR 287 million (AUD 409 million).
In addition to an approach tunnel and an 121 metre wide track fan tunnel, the construction order includes road underpasses and two footbridges. The section is part of the Express Rail Link connecting Hong Kong with China. Contract works for this section start this month and will be completed in 2015. In March, Leighton Asia had already received an initial order worth approximately EUR 311 million (AUD 463 million) for this rail project.
