Construction Firm Kiewit Extends Contract with Airgas

Airgas, Inc. (NYSE: ARG), today announced it has signed a three-year extension to its industrial gases and welding products supply agreement with Kiewit Corporation, a Fortune 500 employee-owned construction company consistently ranked as one of the country’s top 10. The contract extension includes estimated annual revenues of $6 million.

“For the past three years we’ve worked with Kiewit to understand the challenges in supplying gases and welding equipment to their job sites across the country,” said Jack Appolonia, Airgas vice president – construction. “We are proud of our relationship and will continue to deliver the value Kiewit expects of the industrial gases, welding equipment and supplies, and Red-D-Arc welding equipment rentals Airgas provides to more than 280 Kiewit job sites nationwide.”

Airgas has developed a strategic organization focusing on specific market segments in order to fully understand customer challenges and provide custom-tailored solutions. Airgas market segment leaders work with account managers and teams within 12 Airgas regional organizations and more than 850 branch locations nationwide to provide the right solutions for a broad array of industries. The Airgas strategic accounts group and the Airgas construction group are working together to meet the gases and welding equipment needs of Kiewit.
