Grace Construction Products Receives Best Product Award from Remodeling Magazine

Grace Construction Products, an operating segment of W. R. Grace & Co. (NYSE: GRA), has earned the Best New Product Award from Remodeling Magazine for Bondera® TileMatSet, an advanced, pressure sensitive adhesive for tiling projects.

The award was announced at the 2010 Remodeling Show that included more than 300 companies and was sponsored by the National Association of Home Builders. Grace was selected by the magazine’s product editors in conjunction with the event’s 2010 Product Showcase.

Bondera® TileMatSet was developed primarily for use on countertops, backsplashes, tub and shower surrounds, foyers and laundry rooms. It repels water, resists cracking, prevents mold and mildew and can be applied in wet areas. No dust, odor or volatile organic compounds (VOCs) make Bondera® TileMatSet environmentally friendly.

Grace’s Bondera® TileMatSet has been selected for Remodeling Magazine’s 2010 Best New Product Award.

The product was test marketed in 2009 and is currently available for sale in more than 1,500 Lowe’s Home Improvement Centers and on Lowe’s web site.

“Home improvement projects are much simpler with Bondera® TileMatSet,” commented Anthony Vitale, Business Director – Americas, Specialty Building Materials for Grace Construction Products. “Do-it-yourselfers, as well as contractors, can simply unroll and cut a section of the product, remove the plastic release liner and apply the section to a clean surface. No special tools are needed. Tiles can be placed and grouted immediately without the mess, hassle and technical demands required with traditional materials such as mastic and mortar.”
