Axion International (OTCBB: AXIH) producer of the world’s strongest recycled, composite plastic industrial building products, today released a statement about appearing in the recent NEWSWEEK magazine as one of their “10 Top Green Ideas”. The article appeared online dated October 18.
“We’re extremely pleased that NEWSWEEK has recognized Axion’s RSC for this distinction,” commented Jim Kerstein, Axion CEO. “We’re proud of the worldwide acceptance Axion is enjoying in the construction, rail and marine industries. What we’ve accomplished with our partners at Rutgers University in developing and marketing a product thus far used in the construction of bridges supporting such heavy loads as M1 tanks and railroad locomotives validates our belief that there’s a prominent role for recycled “green” materials in our nation’s infrastructure redevelopment and we intend to expand our participation by actively making engineers and architects aware of our abilities.”

There is a long list of applications where these materials can be used.”
Developed in conjunction with Rutgers University’s Materials Sciences and Engineering Department, Axion’s RSC is inert and contains no toxic materials. It is impervious to insect infestation, will never leach toxic chemicals nor warp. Because it is lighter than traditional materials, transporting RSC is less expensive and reduces energy costs. In addition, RSC is completely recyclable at the end of its functional life.
