BlueLinx Corporation ("BlueLinx"), a leading distributor of building products in North America, today announced their plans to expand into key Outdoor Living markets with their portfolio of ultra low maintenance Composite and PVC decking product lines from A.E.R.T. and Royal Mouldings.

BlueLinx announced concurrently that its distribution relationship with GAF Decking Systems has ended. BlueLinx and GAF will work collaboratively over the next several weeks to transition this business relationship. "GAF intends to adopt a combination of exclusive and dual distribution strategies which we believe to be in direct conflict with our existing long standing supplier relationships in this category and we have chosen to support these strategic relationships in order to sustain our mutual and long term growth initiatives," Mr. Bunn said.
During 2010, BlueLinx launched the Century Deck™ 100% PVC decking line from Royal Mouldings and is developing plans to expand this product line into additional key markets throughout the U.S. The year 2010 has also seen extensive growth with the A.E.R.T. MoistureShield® Composite Decking product line and BlueLinx continues to add these environmentally friendly products into new distribution locations in key markets. As an additional complement to the BlueLinx portfolio of ultra low maintenance outdoor living products, BlueLinx also joined earlier this year with Barrette Outdoor Living to launch the Xpanse™ Greater Outdoors full line of vinyl fence, railing, lattice, sheds and garden accent products that offers our customers a complete array of industry leading durability products with long lasting beauty.
