HTS Engineering to Buy HVAC Supply and Service Firm Breck-mar

HTS Engineering Ltd., the largest independent commercial HVAC manufacturers' representative in North America, announced today that it has signed a letter of intent to acquire Breck-mar Sales & Service Ltd., a highly respected Ottawa-based heating, venting and air conditioning supply and service management company.

The acquisition is expected to close on December 31, 2010. Breck-mar employees will join HTS effective upon closing.

“We are thrilled to expand HTS’ on-the-ground presence in the all-important Ottawa market to provide the latest innovations in high-efficiency heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems to building owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, mechanical contractors and facilities maintenance crews,” said David Kviring, Chief Financial Officer of HTS.

“Customers and suppliers will enjoy the expanded line of controls resources and other high-quality products combined with a strong maintenance base and other professional services under the HTS flagship,” Kviring continued. “With Canadian offices in Toronto, London, Kitchener, Hamilton, Oshawa, Sudbury and Ottawa, HTS plans to leverage its regional resources to provide even greater project coordination from design and product acquisition to construction installation.”
