Maravilla Scottsdale, a luxury retirement community under development in North Scottsdale, has awarded The Weitz Company’s Southwest Division the contract for the next phase of construction.
Phase II of the development is expected to commence on November 30th, and will consist of 240,000 square feet of vertical construction. In addition to site work, landscape and irrigation, construction will focus on Maravilla’s Lodge – the community’s main entrance and location for numerous common living spaces such as the club house (with indoor pool, fitness center and activity area), Internet café, and the Ironwood Grill (Maravilla’s main dining room).
According to Michael Grust, president and CEO of Senior Resource Group, the owner and operator of Maravilla Scottsdale, Weitz Southwest has the experience and the team to carry out Maravilla’s unique design plan. By leveraging the companies’ combined 40 years of experience and lessons learned, Maravilla Scottsdale’s sophisticated style and high-end amenities and services will be unmatched in the Scottsdale market place.
“We’re pleased to continue our relationship with The Weitz Company in the development of Maravilla Scottsdale,” said Grust. “After five years in the making, we believe Maravilla will raise the bar on senior housing in the Scottsdale market. Unlike anything presently available, Maravilla Scottsdale is going to be something truly special with its stunning architectural design and extraordinary programming and services.”
"The Weitz team is very excited to partner with Senior Resource Group to further our shared passion for building great places for seniors to live,” said Bryan Bernardo, LEED AP, vice president of The Weitz Company. “We look forward with anticipation to help deliver the exceptional facility that Maravilla Scottsdale will become.”
