TruStile Doors to Acquire Woodharbor Cabinetry's Door Business

Denver-based TruStile Doors, LLC is pleased to announce that it has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase the door division of Woodharbor Doors and Cabinetry based in Northwood, IA.

It is anticipated that the purchase will close within the next month. After the closing, Woodharbor Doors will become a fully owned subsidiary of TruStile Doors, LLC. Woodharbor Cabinetry will continue to operate as a separate company under the guidance of its current ownership and management team.

Woodharbor Doors’ experienced work force and state-of-the-art plant in Northwood, IA will expand TruStile’s production capacity, broaden its product line and provide it with new capabilities. “The Woodharbor door business represents a very compelling acquisition for TruStile,” says Scott Schmid, President and CEO of TruStile. “The product line expands TruStile’s addressable market for stainable wood doors and adds new capabilities such as furniture grade factory finishing to our offering.”

For Woodharbor Cabinetry, the sale of the door business enables ownership and management to focus on their custom cabinetry business while capitalizing on the value they have built into the Woodharbor Door business since its founding in 1993. “TruStile approached us because our two companies are an excellent fit,” says Curtis Lewerke, Woodharbor President and CEO. “We only considered this opportunity because TruStile is a proven leader in the custom door industry and they are committed to maintaining the door operation we built in Northwood, IA. We will miss the door side of our business, yet we’re excited that this allows our management team to focus 100% of our attention to growing Woodharbor Cabinetry.”

Following the acquisition, Woodharbor Doors will continue to operate in Northwood, IA as a fully owned subsidiary of TruStile Doors, LLC. All of Woodharbor Door’s key personnel will continue to work for the Woodharbor door division, guaranteeing a seamless transition for existing Woodharbor customers. “Our goal will be to maintain and leverage the strengths of the existing Woodharbor employees and door operation,” states Schmid. “We are also excited to grow the business by leveraging TruStile’s strong national Dealer network and entering new market segments with the product line.”
