Dow Corning to Display Silicone-Based Construction Products at Ecobuild

Ecobuild, the world’s biggest event for sustainable design, construction and the built environment, will open its doors on 1st March through to 3rd March 2011.

Accompanied by over 130 seminar sessions and dozens of interactive attractions and demonstrations on the exhibition floor, it will cover the most pressing and important issues for built environment professionals.

Dow Corning will show how sustainability and energy savings can be achieved in a wide range of construction applications through recent innovation with silicone materials. New products on display will include:

  • Pocket Habitat – a unique, modular vegetation system for green roofs
  • TSSA – a high strength transparent silicone structural adhesive for glass construction and attachments
  • VIP - a space saving superior insulation material which lowers thermal conductivity

These innovations will be accompanied by information and exhibits demonstrating how Dow Corning’s silicone development for the manufacture of commercial and residential glazing, for window installation, solar collectors and building material protection can reduce building energy loss, reduce waste materials and provide energy efficient ways to support sustainable buildings.
