Phoenix Industries, an equipment and technology supplier for the paving industry, has declared that they will be showcasing a new patented material, called the PelletPAVE & PelletPATCH, at the forthcoming ConExpo to be held in Las Vegas, between 22 -26 March, 2011.
The patented and innovative PelletPAVE material is a mix of asphalt cement and other modifying elements and offered in a free-flowing pelleted form, which can be shipped and stored in ambient temperature for future use. The eco-friendly design utilized in the product enables saving a good amount of energy usually associated with maintaining the asphalt cement in a heated condition all through the day. The exclusive shape of the material also does away with most of the problems normally linked with the mixing, storing and transporting of traditionally used customized asphalt binders.
Phoenix Industries is also planning to showcase the MP 200, a new mobile pothole patch unit. The bed assembly type of design allows fitting of MP 200 with a standard cab and chassis type truck. The MP200 is a self contained unit, incorporated with a PLC and provided with a diesel generator, heated tack tank and air compressor. It is a total feed system, also used for drying and mixing purposes, needed by a road contractor or an agency to generate modified hot mix asphalt mixtures at the road repair site.
