Insituform Technologies declared that that it has received its first contract from the Board of County Commissioners, Orange County Florida, to restore the storm-water pipelines.
The first year value of the contract is anticipated to be around $3.2 million and in the likelihood of the contract getting extended the value will escalate to around $9.5 million in a period of three years. The project is anticipated to commence from April this year.
Insituform Technologies will utilize its Insituform cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) and iPlus Composite products to restore around 70,000 feet of pipelines during the contract period. Most of the pipelines that need to be restored remain in and around the downtown area of Orlando and Orlando Convention Center. The company is expected to carry on and complete the work with minimum disturbance to the traffic services or tourists visits.
According to Jeffrey J. Kowal, General Manager for the East Region for Insituform, the company is engaged in such CIPP installations for over forty years and has enough experience to complete the project.
