YKK AP America Improves Vent Design to Provide Maximum Ventilation
YKK AP America, an architectural products manufacturing company, announced that it has remodeled the YES SSG vent’s design for use in window walls, storefront and curtain wall applications.
The improved version of the YES SSG vent has been designed to make it unseen from a distance, thus making it convenient for the designers to offer maximum ventilation without wide sight lines present in conventional windows.
The YES SSG vent holds insulating glass of one-inch thickness and is offered in outswing or project out type of window frame-work configurations. The windows are available both in the factory glazed or unglazed patterns to aid in easy material coordination for glazing contractors.
The YES SSG vent is suitable for use in commercial buildings such as offices, schools and others. The vent provides normal natural ventilation and assists in achieving LEED rating from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The new improved design of the vent produces a clean sightline because the glass is adhered to the frame of the vent without the need for an extra retainer to hold the glass.
