AECOM Technology declared that it has signed an accord with the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government’s Civil Engineering and Development Department for providing construction management and design services to Liantang-Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point (BCP).
The project will include the laying of a 6.8 mile, double two-lane trunk road connecting the northeastern new territories of Hong Kong and the Luohu district of Shenzhen located on the Chinese mainland. AECOM will also provide site establishment and infrastructure development for improving the new BCP, covering an area of 57 acres approximately.
According to AECOM President and Chief Executive Officer, John M. Dionisio, the new BCP will offer tourists an easy and convenient access to any place between Hong Kong and Shenzhen East. The project is anticipated to be commissioned by 2018.
AECOM Technology provides expert management support and technical services for business clients and government services all over the world.
