Canadian Natural Resources Grants EPC Award to Technip
Canadian Natural Resources has granted Technip an engineering, procurement and construction contract (EPC) valued around €100 million for its Fort Mc Murray, Canada-based Horizon Project.
Under the terms of the contract, Technip will extend the delayed coking unit, which was handled by the company in 2008. The contract will be executed by the company’s operating center in Rome.
As per the terms of the contract, Canadian Natural Resources will make payment to Technip on delivery of the materials and equipment required for the project. Technip will be changed on a refund basis.
Technip has operations in 48 countries and is known for providing engineering, construction and project management services for the energy industry. The present contract corroborates the important position held by the company in purifying bitumen a non-conventional hydrocarbon.
