iDUS Controls Receives Green Nanaimo Award for Water Recycling Products

iDUS Controls, a company that develops water recycling products to cut down the water usage and to use recycled water at homes, declared that it has been granted Green Nanaimo Award by the City Council.

Conserve Pump Water Re-use System

The award is presented under the category of Green Design for the design and development of its water conservation products. Green Nanaimo Award is presented in recognition of initiatives in preserving the environment and maintaining the environmental leadership in the community.

iDUS has obtained the award in appreciation of its range of eco-friendly and inexpensive products that are designed to encourage conservation of water in and around the home. The Home Conservepump product supplied by the company recycles bath, shower water and rainwater for use in the toilet. The wall mounted unit can be conveniently integrated into the present shower, plumbing and toilet fittings. Its other product, Garden Conservepump, is a fully automated rainwater irrigation pump and controller. It incorporates a control system using sensors to start the operations of the pump only when needed, thus allowing competent reuse of harvested rainwater.

The City Council provides its staff to work along with iDUS Controls for the purpose of executing inexpensive and convenient and securing grey water toilet flushing systems for the use of its residents. It has introduced a quicker low-fee approval procedure to install the systems that assist in saving around 30% of home water usage in addition to preventing water release in the sewage systems.
