Skanska Poland Receives Road Construction Contract

Skanska Poland, a construction firm in Poland, announced that it has obtained a construction contract valued around SEK 410 M for building the second stage of the Sucharski Route located outside Gdansk.

The order was received from Gdanskie Inwestycje Komunalne, a company founded by the city of Gdansk to execute road projects related to Euro 2012.

The Sucharski Route will be built in three phases and Skanska will complete the construction of second and third phases of the project. The second phase of the road will include a 2.7 km of two-lane road, two junctions, one roundabout, one flyover and four viaducts. The total road route of 8.3 km will link the Gdansk’s Southern By-pass with the ferry and harbor terminal.

The project will be supported by Gdansk and European Funds. Construction is anticipated to commence soon and is expected to be completed by 2012.
