Belgard Hardscapes is finalizing the construction of the outdoor component of House Beautiful Kitchen of the Year at the Rockefeller Center in New York. The kitchen would be unveiled on July 18, 2011, where after it would be open to the public for presentations, tastings and tours till the 22nd of July.
Mike Miles of Harmony Outdoor Living and Belgard Hardscapes had worked with Tyler Florence, a celebrity chef, to design the living area and outdoor kitchen covering an area of 1500 ft2.
Modular components selected from Belgard’s Elements Collection were used to create the structure of the U-shaped outdoor kitchen. Harmony Outdoor Living manufactures Elements Collection units using Belgard wall and paver products. The units are made as sections and shipped to the locations, where they can be assembled as outdoor kitchen and living room units.
The House Beautiful Kitchen of the Year will have a wrap-around living and dining area that would be created by a paver patio using the garden wall and pavers from Belgard Hardscapes. A wrought iron fence encloses the wrap-around patio. The kitchen will also have a brick oven, charcoal grill, KitchenAid appliances, Kohler sink with working bar, and Grotthouse butcher blocks.
Oldcastle Architectural, a U.S.-based subsidiary of CRH, owns the Belgard brand. It provides innovative outdoor hardscapes including its Belgard collection of wall and paver products.
