KBR has secured a contract from Jaiprakash Associates (JAL), which is a Jaypee Group firm, to offer engineering design services and license for JAL’s brownfield ammonia plant, whose capacity is 2,200 Mt per day, in Kanpur, India.

The company is licensing its Purifier technology, which is confirmed to offer low energy utilization when compared with other various offerings in the market. The design of KBR will allow JAL to construct the ammonia unit through decreased capital costs and with consumption of low energy.
