HexiCrete Concrete Products of Momentive Specialty Chemicals Showcased at World of Concrete 2012

Momentive Specialty Chemicals’ concrete additive product portfolio will be exhibited at the World of Concrete at Las Vegas, Nevada between Jan 24 and 27, 2012.

The HexiCrete branded products of the company have been specially designed to develop concrete performance, improve environmental suitability and contractor productivity.

The company’s array of HexiCrete curing compounds, pervious concrete additive, penetrating sealer, and roller compacted concrete additive are validated based on its compliance with the latest standards.

World of Concrete will showcase the company’s distinguished products including the HexiCrete PS 259D penetrating sealer that promotes saline control to the subsequent levels. The process is initiated following the penetration of concrete surface and unique chemical mechanism activation enhancing pore-system connectivity. This mechanism contributes to an economic application and excellent performance. HexiCrete Type I-D and Type II curing compounds are ASTM C 309-certified and non-detectable VOC concrete sealers. A membrane is being formed to control water evaporation from the concrete to eliminate cracking. It requires simplified application contributing to increased durability, strength and water retention of concretes.

HexiCrete roller compacted concrete (RCC) 450 is the owned admixture that minimizes variability in RCC mix designs, provides lubricity and with fewer roller passes increases its performance. HexiCrete pervious concrete (PC) 350 is another proprietary admixture that facilitates the application of pervious mix, minimizing the need for plastic covering. It provides an effective curing performance when combined with HexiCrete Type II curing compound. The unique properties of HexiCrete PC 350’s strengthen the bond between aggregate and cement paste, enhancing compressive strength as it optimizes the void structure promoting rapid drainage.
