Neustar’s Headquarters Receives LEED Certification

Real time analysis and information provider Neustar has announced that its newly constructed headquarters has received LEED certification from the US Green Building Council (USGBC). The certification was awarded for the efficient usage of energy, materials, lighting and water and the inclusion of various sustainable features in the design of the building.

The LEED CI v2009 Certified certification was awarded after the USGBC assessed the features of the building that impacted the environment positively and the broader community in a better manner. Neustar has also received a “Certified Green Business” for the past two consecutive years from the Chamber of Commerce and Loudon County Government.

According to the General Counsel and Senior Vice President of External Affairs for the company, Scott Blake Harris, the company’s focus on reducing energy usage not only helps it in reducing expenses but also helps protecting its employees and their communities. LEED was established with an aim to encourage market leading companies to design and construct green buildings which will help in conservation of resources and contribute positively to the economy. Neustar provides analysis and information services to industries such as telecom, entertainment, marketing and advertising industries.
