Insight Property Group has commenced construction of a 67-unit, four-story luxury apartment building near the Courthouse Metro station, in Arlington, Virginia. Grayson Flats Arlington is a $25 million development scheduled for delivery in October, 2012.

The new Grayson Flats are being built at 1200 North Rolfe Street. It is a 1.67-ac site which had a 55-year-old apartment complex. The complex has been demolished for the new flats. The site features a park-like setting. It has comfortable transit and transportation facilities. The Metro, Metrobus service and bike-sharing stations are located nearby. The site has easy access to the Columbia Pike Corridor, the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor, Key Bridge, the George Washington Parkway, the Pentagon, the Washington, D.C. region and Routes 50 and 66. Restaurants and shops are located on Wilson Boulevard, which is near to the site.
This small boutique project offers spacious green space, courtyards, floor plans, terraces and balconies. The largest units will offer more than 1,450 sq.ft of living space, with two bedrooms, a den and two and a half baths. The homes will have an average area of 1,100 sq.ft. Certain homes will also have private 400 sq.ft rooftop terraces.
The apartments will feature hardwood flooring, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, lighting, cabinets, fixtures. They will also have either a terrace or balcony.
The site will provide a range of outdoor amenities, such as rooftop deck, courtyard with open cabanas, bocce lawn, fire pit, fitness center, bar, billiards, Wi-Fi and a cyber café. Garage parking is located underground. The site also has an electric car charging station and the facility to store bikes.
The building was designed by Lessard Design and Preston Partnership. The general contractor is Clark Builders Group and the leasing and property management is being taken care of by Bozzuto Management Company. The project has received a $19 million construction loan from Cardinal Bank.
