Building and Civil Construction Company Tutor Perini has been awarded an $82 million construction contract by Gila River Indian Community. Under this contract the company will construct the Vee Quiva Casino & Hotel in Laveen, Arizona located next to Phoenix.
The construction will cover a total area of 178,000 sq.ft in a single storey of which 70,000 sq.ft will be used for gaming and five restaurants.
Apart from this a hotel with 90 rooms and three stories and an outdoor swimming pool will also be constructed. Tutor Perini will also be responsible for the construction of a 1,000 car parking garage which will have four stories. The project will also involve other enhancements and landscaping over the property which covers a total area of 70 ac. The Vee Quiva Casino & Hotel is expected to be inaugurated during 2013. The Friedmutter Group will be the architect for this project. The Vice President of Tutor Perini Building Corp Ken Schacherbauer hopes the construction process to be completed seamlessly. The company specialises in general contracting, comprehensive project management and pre-construction planning, planning and scheduling of manpower, materials and equipment and subcontractors according to the requirements of each project. Other construction services provided by the company include steel erection, HVAC, plumbing, concrete forming and placement and other electrical and mechanical services.
