Grip-Rite Introduces New Line of Rebar and Mesh Chairs for Concrete Construction

Grip-Rite has launched a new line of mesh and rebar chairs, PROLOK, with patented locking heads.

With its patented locking head design, the PROLOK(TM) High Chair raises rebar or wire mesh, tightly secures a rebar intersection without the use of tie wire or bar ties, and is stackable.

Since PROLOK locks automatically, it requires no bar ties or tie wire and thus saves money and time.

There are three new product lines, namely Tilt-Up Chair, High Chair and Sandplate Base.

PROLOK offers a revolutionary concrete construction solution. The lightweight materials are reflective for low-light ventures, stackable for multi-layer frameworks and contribute to receiving LEED certification points. PROLOK Rebar + Mesh Chairs are suitable for different construction applications such as residential and commercial, parking garages and parking lots, patios and driveways. All are D.O.T. approved.

Tilt-up construction is a fast growing construction industry in the US. Since tilt up construction needs wire mesh or rebar, the PROLOK Tilt-Up Chair is an important element to any project. With its patented locking head design as well as other efficient elements, the PROLOK Tilt-Up Chair minimizes ties and prep time by roughly 50%. The EZ Flow base enables concrete to slide easily through the reinforcing grid of a panel, and at the same time the 4-point base leaves behind an invisible footprint.

The PROLOK High Chair raises wire mesh or rebar, secures a rebar intersection tightly without the use of bar ties or tie wire. It is stackable and saves contractors time.

The PROLOK Sandplate Base offers an additional 4” diameter support base for stiffness with PROLOK High Chairs in sandy and soft applications. The base will not break vapor barriers and assures that settling will not happen before the pour.
