USP Releases New Heavy-Duty, Triple-Zinc Galvanized 90° Connector Series

USP Structural Connectors, a MiTek Industries company, announced today the release of the Tough-Tie product series.

This new connector series is comprised of eight heavy-duty, triple-zinc galvanized connectors that have been developed to provide simplicity to the building of true and easy 90 degree connections.

The Tough-Tie series is engineered and manufactured to strengthen and increase the load bearing capacity of wood to wood connections commonly nailed together. Tough-Tie connectors are an easy and economical solution for building workbenches, tables and shelving for the garage, basement, office or exterior applications. They easily install with USP LumberLok LL915 wood screws. The Tough-Tie series will be available throughout USP’s extensive distribution network.

“With the new Tough-Tie line, quality framing connectors specifically designed to solve a wide range of potential connector challenges are now readily available to the contractor and DIY markets,” said Marty Ruch, Vice President of Retail Sales. “Tough-Tie connectors allow the creative DIYer and professional to quickly and easily construct their own unique storage and work spaces, thus saving time and money over pre-fabricated options.”
