Van Gogh Window Fashions, vangoghwindowfashions.com, Alabama's locally owned manufacturer of custom-made wooden blinds, shutters and shades, announces a new product line of solar powered shades.
"We are excited to be providing this green product to our customers," said Cary Miller, president and owner of Van Gogh Window Fashions. "These shades have been a key component in several commercial building projects that have earned LEED certification. Our customers have been asking us for these types of options and we are happy to be able to deliver."
These shading systems not only control light, but depending on the choice of special fabrics they can protect a building, office or home from extreme heat and can also help control ambient noise. Van Gogh Window Fashions will offer three different types of green shade products for customers to choose from:
Infinity2 - features a core yarn and coating that is PVC-free, lead free, and 100 percent recyclable.
Performance Plus - is metalized fabric, which is highly reflective to achieve excellent heat reduction and glare control regardless of fabric color. And, the fabric is woven in a basket weave configuration for excellent transparency and openness.
Solar Rechargeable Motors - For areas where power and wiring are not an option, clients may choose a rechargeable motor with a built-in battery system that does not require a separate battery wand or replacements. You simply plug in a solar panel charger and you have a totally green energy efficient motor system.
These products are in addition to Van Gogh Window Fashion's custom lines of wooden shutters and blinds that are made at their shop in Birmingham.
