Belwith to Debut Smart Deadbolt with Bluetooth 4.0 Technology

First Watch® Security, a Division of Belwith® Products, will unveil the Smart Deadbolt using Bluetooth 4.0 Technology during the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show in New Orleans, April 19 – 21, 2013.

The Smart Deadbolt is the first electronic deadbolt that works directly with smartphones. Working with smartphones that have Bluetooth 4.0 and utilizing a 128 bit encryption, The First Watch® Security Smart Deadbolt provides a complete smart lock solution in a single package.

The convenient Smart Touch feature paired with Bluetooth 4.0 technology allows users to operate the deadbolt with the touch of a button; all while the smartphone remains in the user's pocket.

Authorized users can operate the Smart Deadbolt via the SecuRemote® BLE App by simply tapping the unlock or lock icons. The SecuRemote® BLE App also gives the ability to change the settings of the Smart Deadbolt, add/delete/modify users, and setup/select/rename devices.

The Smart Deadbolt works with all standard door preparations. It installs with only a screwdriver, and it runs for up to two years on just four AA batteries. The Smart Deadbolt comes in two different styles, traditional and contemporary, and is available in four finishes. The deadbolt backset adjusts from 2-3/8 in. to 2-3/4 in. and has a 1 in brass bolt with a hardened steel rod.

The Smart Deadbolt will be on display in the Belwith Booth at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show in New Orleans, April 19 – 21, 2013.
