New Addition to USG’s SECUROCK Roofing Family – PYROFILL Gypsum Concrete

USG Corporation, a leading building products company, today announced its existing PYROFILL® gypsum concrete product will now be a part of the SECUROCK® Roofing product line under the new name SECUROCK Gypsum-Concrete Patch.

Used for decades to repair gypsum roof decks, the patch will now have increased nationwide availability, literature and support.

Ideal for use in construction of poured-in-place roof decks or slabs, the SECUROCK Gypsum-Concrete Patch is durable, non-combustible and sets and installs quickly.

“We’re happy to offer the technical support, resources and customer service to this product that people have come to expect from the SECUROCK brand,” says Mike Inman, roofing product manager at USG. “We plan to increase availability of the patch nationwide, making it easier to buy for existing PYROFILL customers, while offering new customers an easy solution to repair gypsum roof decks.”

SECUROCK Gypsum-Concrete Patch is mill formulated and composed of calcined gypsum and wood chips or shavings. It is mixed at the job site with clean water only and poured in place over permanent formboards. Thermal resistance (R) value is 0.67 per inch. It complies with ASTM C317.

“By including the Gypsum-Concrete Patch with the SECUROCK roofing portfolio, we will be able to rail ship the product along with pallets of roof board to areas of the country that weren’t previously feasible,” continued Inman.
