Illuminating Engineering Society Recognizes Eaton’s Efficient Lighting Solutions

Power management company Eaton today announced 15 products from its Cooper Lighting division have been recognized by the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) Progress Committee and will be included in its 2013 Progress Report.

All products submitted for evaluation in the report undergo a rigorous assessment process and are judged based on their unique qualities, innovation features and overall significance to the lighting industry.

“Our strong showing in this prestigious report is further evidence that we are a leader in the development of innovative, reliable and efficient lighting solutions for a broad range of markets,” said Mark Eubanks, president, Eaton’s Cooper Lighting division.

Developed to showcase products that provide significant technical advancements in the art and science of lighting, the 2013 IES Progress Report featured indoor and outdoor fixtures, lighting controls and 12 light-emitting diode (LED) luminaires from Eaton’s Cooper Lighting business.

The 2013 IES Progress Report features new products, research, publications and design tools. Products were evaluated by a wide range of industry experts with 143 of those products gaining acceptance into the report.

The accepted 2013 IES Progress Report products will be presented at the IES Annual Conference on October 28 in Huntington Beach, Calif., and will be featured in the January 2014 issue of the Society’s monthly magazine, Lighting Design + Application (LD+A). The report will also be posted on the IES website and presented by IES sections throughout the year at section meetings.
