Bayou City Lumber Adds GRK Screws to its Inventory

When Bayou City Lumber started out almost two decades ago, it dealt only with lumber. Now, the Houston, TX company carries a variety of materials for building and construction projects. And Bayou City Lumber has just added one more item to its inventory: fasteners from Canada-based company GRK.

Founded in 1990 by a family of German screw makers, GRK Canada Limited gained a sterling reputation with wholesale partners and building material retailers for providing "The Industry's Toughest Screws." GRK also has operations overseas, in Japan and in Europe, including the country of its origin, Germany.

Thanks to its partnership with GRK, Bayou City Lumber now carries the company's vast array of fasteners, which come in a variety of different sizes. GRK fasteners come with a limited lifetime warranty, and some of them are made with PHEINOX stainless steel for increased resistance to rust.

GRK fasteners can accommodate a wide range of applications, which include timber, concrete, synthetic trim boards, plastic and decking, wooden and vinyl window and door frames, cabinets, and insulation and paneling. GRK stainless steel fasteners are recommended in particular for cedar wood, pool, sauna, sea-side, and deck applications.

This team-up with Bayou City Lumber couldn't be any more appropriate. The Texas company provides several specialties within its 8.5 acres of inventory to meet virtually any building project need. Whether it's building a rope course with lumber and tall poles or a decorative seawall for a golf course, Bayou City Lumber has customers covered. Also, the company is known for stocking lumber that is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified. Such certification ensures that Bayou's lumber is grown, harvested, and milled responsibly, and it is the company's main way of earning LEED points for its green building standards.

GRK joins two other brand names at Bayou City Lumber. The company offers Fiberon decking, which consists of wood fiber and plastic resin for outdoor composite lumber. It has proven to be a hit with customers, who appreciate Fiberon's resistance to rot or decay and its backing with a 25-year warranty. Bayou offers free samples to customers to help with picking out their desired color and style.
