For this project, ultra-high efficiency 44 watt LED fixtures replaced 175 watt metal halide fixtures. The Independence LED fixtures also earned $68,000 in rebates, from the NY State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).
"These advancements in LED technology are exciting, and we congratulate Muss Development and Independence LED on the new benchmark of efficiency," said Mark Martin, Green Parking Council Board Member.
"We applaud Muss Development for their leadership in this benchmark energy-efficiency retrofit," said Charlie Szoradi, CEO of Independence LED. "We also appreciate the support from the on-site Central Parking management team and see this as a key tipping point for LED parking garage fixtures."
