US LBM Acquires American Masons and Building Supply Company

US LBM Holdings, LLC announces the acquisition of American Masons and Building Supply Company from owners Dave and Cindy Westerman. American Masons will join the East Haven Builders Supply team, further cementing their dedication to the Connecticut market. Dave Westerman and his team will continue to lead the American Masons and Building Supply Company.

Originally founded in 1933, Cindy and Dave Westerman purchased American Masons in 2011 helping build the company into a full service provider of wallboard, steel framing, insulation, acoustical, and masonry supplies to both commercial and residential contractors. American Masons employs 20 associates at its Hartford facility.

“We are thrilled to become a part of East Haven Builders Supply and the US LBM team,” said Dave Westerman. “Partnering with US LBM will enable us to provide our customers enhanced product offerings and improved levels of service. Our associates and supplier partners will also benefit from the growth and opportunities available as a result of this merger.”

“American Masons demonstrates US LBM’s commitment to grow its specialty products offering,” said L.T. Gibson, President & CEO of US LBM. “Earlier this year we partnered with Feldman Lumber and Wallboard Supply Company, both leading distributors of wallboard, steel studs, insulation, and acoustical products in the Northeast. American Masons further strengthens US LBM’s position growing wallboard and related category sales to more than $150 million.”
