US$100m Expansion For James Hardie

James Hardie has announced it will spend more than US$100 million to expand the production capacity and research and development capabilities of its fibre cement business in the USA.

Their product demand is rapidly growing and the expansion will accelerate a number of important development projects with significant commercial potential. This rapid growth is due to products such as XLD HardiTrim fibre cement siding and trim products that offer an alternative to the dominant material, vinyl.
