Study To Reduce London’s Environmental Impact

Led by London First and London Remade and funded by Biffaward, a £150,000 research project is being set up to investigate how to reduce London’s impact on the environment.

Due to poor efficiency and poor resource use, London’s ecological footprint is approximately the size of Spain. It is hoped that this study will enable London to operate on a more sustainable basis. Initial finding of the research will be published in September with the official report released in February 2004.
