Luxor Commences Manufacturing of Heavy Duty Crane Industrial Mats for Hampton Lumber Sales – Canada

Luxor Industrial Corporation wishes to announce that it has commenced manufacturing Heavy Duty Crane Industrial Mats and other related large timber products for Hampton Lumber Sales – Canada, the Canadian Division of one of the largest North American privately held forest products companies - Hampton Affiliates.

There are few manufacturers of this type of mat in North America because of the facilities required to handle very heavy and long raw materials and finished products. Luxor has invested in a new semi-automated hydraulic assisted processing line to prepare the heavy 12" X 12" X 20' timbers for "notched" crane mat assembly. "Together with Hampton, new quality control and higher engineering specifications have been implemented; setting the Luxor crane mats into the category of the highest standards ever in North America," states James Lazaruk of Hampton.

The production line is also assembling "digging mats," another 4' X 20' mat, built using the same Hampton high quality timbers, but with heavy duty "cable" assemblies attached.

The "notched" crane mats serve several heavy industries such as Crane (100 to 450 tons) Pads for Plant Construction, Pipeline Construction, Wind Farm Tower Erection, Mining Roads, Pipeline Crossings and Major Bridge Repairs. The "digging" mats are utilized in Pipeline Assembly and Repairs and Upgrades.

A byproduct of this new manufacturing line is the production of 12" x 12" x 3' blocking, which is used during the assembly of "Mods," the large modular sections of plants and processing facilities typical of large plant operations for the oil sands and oil and gas development in Western Canada.

"Our growing partnership with a large respected forest products group like Hampton, provides Luxor with an incredible opportunity to increase both sales and production efficiencies," states John Taylor, President of the Company's manufacturing subsidiary.

Luxor continues to do research and development on new products and will keep shareholders advised on existing activities and progress on new products. Hampton, in conjunction with the engineering design team at Luxor are already working on additional industrial timber based products to serve the oil & gas industry, for release later this year.
