Construction Waste Transformed Into Safety Products

Hundreds of tonnes of plastic waste are discarded by the construction industry annually. Europe’s leading manufacturer of road and construction site safety products, Oxford Plastic Systems, is leading the charge to correct this imbalance by manufacturing traffic cones, barriers, security fence supports and reinforced trench covers from recycled thermoplastics and thermoplastics composites.

Since being established in 1985 the company has continued to research ways to bring innovative and environmentally friendly products to the international marketplace. Some of these products are now replacing traditional concrete alternatives. This is due to their resistance to moisture, similar density, increased durability and life span and lower overall cost.
