Eco Building Products’ New Facilities Witness Growing Demand and Production

Eco Building Products, Inc., announced today that production and order files are growing at both of its new facilities. The Company's new Tacoma, WA and Augusta, GA facilities began operations in June and have been ramping up steadily since initial start-up. Both facilities will be brought on-line in stages that will ultimately employ at least two production lines in each.

"From the start, we were confident that we had ready demand at Augusta and were actually able to get in 20 shifts of production to fulfill orders over the first few weeks of operation," said Tom Comery, President and CEO. "We expect to experience "see-saw" demand in the early months of our entry into the Southeast, but feel very good about what we were able to accomplish out of the starting blocks. This first phase of the operation is in production and being fine-tuned while we have a crew moving the second and much larger line into place over the next two weeks."

The Company's Tacoma, WA facility involves a two phase ramp up plan as well, the first line of which was ready in early July. "We took the time necessary to rationalize our product offering and channel strategy and then set about in July targeting specific prospects with tailored messages", Mr. Comery added. "After some leg work, we went into August with a fairly solid order file of 25 shifts of production… and growing each week. Perhaps the most reassuring fact is that the mix reflects both our Eco FT (Fire Treated Class A) and Eco SP (Sill Plate) which suggests the product message is resonating with customers".
