Superior Concrete Products, a North-Texas-based manufacturer of precast concrete fence and barrier products, is launching a revolutionary new product – the Superior Board-on-Board™ concrete fence.
A pioneering leader in the precast concrete fence industry, Todd Sternfeld, owner and CEO, is introducing another industry-first – a product that duplicates the grain and appearance of popular cedar board-on-board wood fencing.
“Early in my career, I realized the frustration my customers felt as they struggled to maintain, repair and replace fences that deteriorated after a few years of service. The search for a better fence led me to precast concrete. During the past 29 years, the Superior Concrete Products team has created a number of concrete fences in a variety of sizes, finishes and colors. And, our latest product innovation is the board-on-board precast concrete fence, which was cast directly from rough-hewn cedar fence planks,” said Sternfeld. “This fence looks and feels much like wood, and is unparalleled for its beauty, strength, and ability to outlast any other decorative barrier product in the market today.”
One of the first installations of this ground-breaking new product is in North Texas. A homeowner who was tired of ongoing maintenance issues with his wood fence was looking for a permanent fence solution.
“Wood fences may look good while they are new, but no one tells you how much time to takes hammering nails and inserting screws to maintain the appearance of the fence over time,” said William Hennington. “Spending so much time on fence repairs is no way to spend a weekend, so I started researching alternative materials for the privacy fence surrounding my new home. I discovered a different kind of fence material – concrete. Since the Superior Concrete Products corporate office was close by, I stopped in to look at product samples and meet the company’s owner – Todd Sternfeld. The look and design of the product combined with the attentive service I received from the Superior Concrete Products team convinced me that purchasing a board-on-board concrete fence was a good investment for my new home.”

Once the barrier is embedded, the fence becomes durable enough to withstand the impact of high-caliber ammunition. Most importantly, a ballistics-reinforced fence is virtually identical to all of the company’s other fence products.
