NCR Corporation, the global leader in omni-channel solutions, today announced the groundbreaking of its new world headquarters campus in Midtown Atlanta. The new headquarters will be a state-of-the-art campus designed to attract top talent, showcase NCR’s technology solutions and serve as an iconic landmark for the City of Atlanta.

Located at the corner of 8th and Spring Streets in the heart of Midtown Atlanta, the new headquarters will provide NCR with a presence close to Atlanta’s rich innovation centers and leading academic institutions. It will also improve access to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, making it easier for financial services, retail and hospitality customers from all over the world to visit Atlanta and experience NCR’s innovative technology solutions firsthand.

“Our new world headquarters campus is truly a watershed moment for the future of NCR and the City of Atlanta,” said NCR Chairman and CEO Bill Nuti. “We are partnering with the City of Atlanta, State of Georgia and the University System of Georgia to create an environment that will inspire passion, collaboration and innovation. It’s going to be one of the most dynamic tech communities in the world.”

“NCR’s commitment to Georgia is a testament to the quality of our workforce, academic institutions, logistics infrastructure and overall business-friendly environment,” said Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Chris Carr. “We are excited to see them continue to grow and thrive in our state as a key part of Georgia’s ‘Transaction Alley’.”

“NCR’s decision to build a new global headquarters in the heart of Midtown signals the City of Atlanta’s status as an economic and technological powerhouse,” said Mayor Kasim Reed. “With a $300 million investment next to Georgia Tech, NCR has chosen to put down roots alongside one of the nation’s leading centers of innovation, and in the urban core of Atlanta. Together, NCR, our tech community, and the City of Atlanta will continue to grow and thrive.”

“We are excited to be working with an innovative company like NCR to design and build their world headquarters in Midtown Atlanta,” said Larry Gellerstedt, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cousins Properties. “This is an exceptional opportunity for Cousins to develop and own a cutting edge, skyline-enhancing trophy tower in Atlanta’s leading technology district.”

“Advancing Atlanta’s global competitiveness is Invest Atlanta’s mission,” said Craig Richard, President and CEO of Invest Atlanta. “So when a global powerhouse like NCR chooses Atlanta to base their world headquarters, it confirms Atlanta as a talent rich city for global business.”

NCR’s world headquarters campus will be a truly inspiring work environment that clearly reflects who the company is today, the leader in consumer transaction technologies. It will provide a strong foundation for advancing the company’s mission of leading how the world connects, interacts and transacts with business.
