AS Merko Tartu Commences Construction of Second Building of Kaupmehe Apartment Development Project

AS Merko Tartu, subsidiary part of AS Merko Ehitus group, has started the construction of the second building of Kaupmehe apartment development project in Tartu Parish, Tartu County. The project includes three apartment buildings with 90 apartments, from which the first building, at Kaupmehe 7, is in construction and will be completed by the end of January 2016. Kaupmehe 5 construction has started (30 apartments) and is scheduled for completion by August 2016.

Kaupmehe apartment buildings (merko.ee/kaupmehe) are located at Kaupmehe street, Tartu parish, few minutes’ drive away from Tartu city centre. The buildings will be next to Pärna alley residential quarter, where Merko has developed and built 10 apartment buildings and sold almost 300 apartments.

Three-storey buildings with energy class B have their own gas boiler plant; apartments are equipped with water heating system and radiators, bathrooms have electrical floor heating system. The architect of the buildings is Janno Põldme and interior architect is OÜ Põldme. Home buyers can choose from three interior design packages. Well-lighted 2- to 4-room apartments have a parking space and a storage space. The price of the apartments ranges from 58–103 thousand euros.
