Lindab Receives SEK 48 Million Order to Deliver Astron-Building for Supernap Italia Data Center

Lindab's Building Systems has received an order worth approximately SEK 48 million to deliver an Astron-building to Supernap in the Milan region of Italy.

The new SUPERNAP Italia will be a state-of-the-art, multi-tenant Tier IV Gold rated data center that has been designed to the highest standards for safety, sustainability and water tightness. SUPERNAP Italia will feature a steel roof using patented Switch SHIELD construction that includes dual independent 200 mph-rated roof decks designed to mitigate extreme weather conditions.

The proprietary Switch SHIELD is configured to be forever-maintainable, meaning that maintenance and/or replacement can be performed when necessary without impacting the mission critical operations of the facility.

The majority of the deliveries will be carried out during the first half of 2016.

The market diversification within our Building Systems division continue and we are pleased to see positive developments for our high-quality pre-engineered Astron buildings both in Western Europe and other markets. These efforts are important steps in order to off-set the decline in demand in our Russian and Belarussian markets.
