Reducing Lead Contamination in Residential Soils

Northwestern University has published a web based resource guide for the phytoremediation of residential soils. Phytoremediation can reduce the level of lead in the soil as well as provide a protective barrier to future contamination. Phytoremediation is the use of green plants to stabilize or remove contaminants from soils, sediments, or water.

The report is available on the Northwestern University website.
