A storage and distribution centre for soft drinks in Bristol has become the first industrial building in the UK clad externally with Kingspan Insulated Panel’s KS1200CS coldstore composite panels.

The panels have previously only been used for the internal box, but with the addition of a waterproof membrane, the panels were applied to the external walls and roof of the 20metre high building. KS1200CS is a composite panel that eliminates the labour intensiveness of conventional, built up systems, as the panels are ready for immediate installation on delivery to site.

The panels join in a unique tongue and groove method that creates an airtight seal. This enables the interior to be maintained at a constant -10 degree C internal temperature.
