ModWalls® "Wrap Your Rooms in Retro" the hip brand, best known for their modern and retro inspired glass mosaic tile blends for residential and commercial installation, has launched its new line of unique and stylish swimming pool borders.
Sold by the linear foot these 6" wide bands of colorful stripes, patterns and blends are true to the ModWalls® brand by giving a nod to retro themes. "Orbit Loop" and "Juicy Loop" are repeating patterns of circular designs in pop colors like pale blue and teal with bright orange, or fruit punch and tangerine, all on a background of white. Other designs include 2 versions of a horizontal rugby stripe, and multi colored vertical stripe designs using color schemes derived from some of the ModWalls® line's best selling glass tile blends; Kahuna, Tiki, Seabright, Danish Modern and Modernist. It's not all stripes and patterns though; the two new blends in the mix are "Splash", a blend of deep teal shades with a clear teal tile throughout which really catches the sunlight, and "Twinkle", pale Tiffany box blue with clear white tiles mixed in to sparkle like diamonds in the daylight and stars at night.
Rebecca Lonergan, ModWalls® designer has created the new line to add versatility to her customers' tile design choices. "While the idea of this line is to meet the needs of our clients' swimming pool and spa liners, these 6" wide bands of pure "style" can be a terrific glass mosaic accent to larger installations of solid field tile or a single color of glass mosaic, not to mention a snappy backsplash for the kitchen or bathroom sink, or even a floor or window border. There is no limit to the creative application ideas for these products."
"I'm into stripes and bold patterns right now" says Lonergan, "and while we often talk of bringing the outdoors in when decorating, I also think about accenting our outdoor spaces with the colors we love to live in. Yes, pool tile is most often blue, but I love to incorporate the colors of the garden and even the exterior house paint color into the pool tile. Our Kahuna stripe is a particularly good example of this concept with it's mix of white, chocolate brown, leaf green, blue sky and water colors, it dresses the pool and spa areas with tropical coolness that is equally at home inside your house."
