Sun Emulator for Designing Solar Responsive Architecture

High Precision Devices have developed a table based, mobile device to assist architects in designing buildings that utilise solar energy. The Model 126 Heliodon emulates the motion of the sun at various times of the year relative to a scale model of a building.

Not only does the heliodon show designers and architects exactly what effect the sun will have on a building throughout the year, it also can be used as a teaching tool to demonstrate solar principles.
