Push For More Fire Sprinklers In UK Buildings

The recently formed Fire Sprinkler Association (FSA) has been put together to provide a comprehensive service to the Fire Sprinkler industry and to substantially increase the use of fire sprinklers in the UK.

The FSA’s mission is to reduce deaths and injuries, property losses and damage to the environment caused by fire by promoting the wider use of fire sprinklers. Strategic objectives include:

  • Obtaining UK legislation requiring sprinklers in all high-risk buildings.
  • Supporting the technical case for sprinklers.
  • To maintain quality control by Training, Continuous Professional Development, Product Approvals, Standards and independent Certification.
  • To identify member needs in fulfilling the FSA’s mission.
  • To present a powerful and unified voice.
  • To maintain an effective communication and promotion service for the fire sprinkler industry.
  • To oversee the transition to European standards.
