Study shows cost effectiveness of green buildings

The US Green Building Council has released a study that shows the financial benefits of green buildings exceed the costs by a factor of 10 to 1.

The benefits include improved health productivity plus lowered operations and maintenance costs in green buildings. The study examined national data for a hundred green buildings and made an in depth review of several hundred existing studies to find sustainable buildings to be a very cost-effective investment.
