Finished Basement Company, the first and only local remodeling firm dedicated solely to basement design and build, announces the opening of its new office in McLean.
Finished Basement Company was founded in 1997 by Patrick Condon. At the time, Condon owned a small remodeling business in Denver, Colorado. He was approached by a homeowner to finish her basement on a tight timeframe. Condon happily accepted the project and made regular visits to the work site to ensure the project stayed on schedule.
One day, as he drove to the job, he looked out over the sea of new homes being built and had a revelation: there were thousands of homeowners just like his customer, living in a home with an unfinished basement. The potential was staggering, and Finished Basement Company was born.
Ten years later, the company has built more than 1,000 basements. In addition to Denver, Finished Basement Company has served homeowners in Minneapolis-St. Paul since early 2005. The recent opening of its McLean office allows the company to deliver its proven basement design, project management and construction experience to residents in Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William counties.
