Each year in April, Milan, the Italian capital of design, hosts the Salone Internationale del Mobile, the largest furniture fair in the world. Around 180000 visitors will view the latest designs from more than 2,000 international exhibitors.
Additional fringe shows showcase design from around the world. This year international buyers are being courted by around 40 London designers with a large show called, “Design London”. The show of designers, manufacturers and industry partners is expected to create a critical mass to raise London's profile as a design capital.
