Kalzip to Split from Corus Building Systems and Trade as Kalzip Ltd

Starting from 2nd February 2009, the Kalzip business unit will no longer be operating under the Corus Building Systems name but instead will be officially and legally trading as Kalzip Ltd. In future, both company and brand name will be Kalzip at all locations around the world.

As Kalzip continues to grow strongly, the name change provides an ideal opportunity to strengthen the Kalzip brand and add greater clarity to the company’s identity. It also represents a key moment in Kalzip’s development which is strongly aligned with the international nature of its business activities.

Corus was created following the merger between Koninklijke Hoogovens and British Steel in 1999 when the combined company became known as Corus Group. At that time, the various Kalzip companies around the world began trading as Corus Building Systems operating within the Corus Group which was taken over by the Tata Group in 2007.

Kalzip is a business unit within the Corus Distribution and Building Systems Division, which is an operating company within Tata Steel Europe Ltd.
